Significance of DFD in DB Designing:
To develop any kind of a computer software or program, one of the most important things a programmer will do is to draw a data flow diagram. It can help a programmer in:
1. Organization: the diagram helps in organizing the data and things you require to include in your program. It helps in planning and looking step by step process of program making.
2. Decision Building: It helps in build a decision that what will come next when one step is finished. This can be done in if-else statements. 
3. Presentation: This is a pictorial representation because when you code a program only you know what's going on but other people are not aware of it. This DFD help you in presenting your program.
4. Adaptability: It helps in adapting better steps in order to solve a solution. It helps in telling the programmer that what best step and code he can adapt and what will be its effect on the program.
5. Error Detection: DFD helps in detecting the expected errors which a programmer can suffer during coding. It helps in notify the programmer before time that what he has to do what not.
