This equation can be expended as
DuPont Return on Assets = (Net Income / Sales) * (Sales / Total Assets) * 100
• Net Income = Profit available for appropriation
• Sales = Mark-up interest / return / interest earned
Return on Assets = Net Income / Total Assets * 100
• Net Income = Profit available for appropriation
