You are required to identify the Perception Error in each of the following examples of perceptual distortion. Also, briefly provide an argument/ justification in favor of your answer.

1	Women, generally, do not accept delegation and site visits and thus should not be offered a managerial job.
2	A teacher perceives that his student Ali has a good Intelligent quotient, is very hardworking, passionate, and honest with studies, so he should be graded high.
3	Mr. Ahmed can work under pressure and can meet deadlines at the last moment. He thinks that his colleague and old friend Mr. Asif can also do the same.
4	People who eat lots of food are overweight and unhealthy.

1                                        Stereotyping                    It is a perception that all the women dislike visits and delegations, so every woman is perceived to be misfit for managerial job.


2                                         Halo effect                     Ali is judged by his previous record of being intelligent and hard working, so he is rated high by the teacher and awarded high grades without being keen to judge his performance (current) thoroughly.


3                                               Like-me-effect              Because Mr Ahmed is judging others by his own characteristics and he himself being a good worker under pressure, expects that others will also be able to cope with the pressure.


4                                                Stereotyping                 It is perceived that every person who eats lots of food belongs to a group of people who are overweight and healthy whereas there are many people who actually eat a lot but are not overweight. Similarly a no of overweight people may not be over-eaters
