Appeal is made to rector on appeal@vu.edu.pk

This is done after you recieve a show cause notice from umc 

You can make an appeal in 7 day of receipt of notice or else ur asked to give a written explanation on piece of paper, duly signed and scanned along with the reason as to why vu shudnt take any action against u. 

After receipt of your response, they decide to accept ur plea or penalize you. Since ur overseas, i have seen cases having penalty up to 300 usd. 

If u go for appeal, rector evaluates the matter by pulling in data at his end and subsequently makes a decision. 

This is time consuming process not coz of rector but coz of other departments involved in evaluation process. 

Usually appeals are rejected / turned down unless u urself can substantially prove that u din do it. 

I have experienced this in my first semester finals and fortunately, it took me nearly 2 months to prove it and reverse their decision. I m sure few others might have suceeded well though i have never heard of any so far in 2 years.
